Alps

The Alps are one of the most famous mountain systems in the world, spanning eight European countries: France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Liechtenstein, and Monaco.
The mountain range extends for 1,200 km, with a width ranging from 130 to 260 km and a height reaching up to 4,810 meters. The highest peak of the Alps is Mont Blanc (4,810 m), located on the border between France and Italy.
The Alps are renowned for their snow-covered peaks, picturesque valleys, glaciers, and numerous mountain lakes. This region is home to many animal species, including the Alpine marmot, the Alpine ibex, and rare bird species. The Alps also boast unique flora, including the famous edelweiss, a symbol of mountain purity and beauty.
The Alps are home to the largest glacier in Europe – the Aletsch Glacier, which is approximately 27 kilometers long and covers an area of about 130 square kilometers.
The Alps are a popular destination for adventure lovers. In winter, skiing and snowboarding thrive, while in summer, visitors enjoy hiking, mountaineering, and cycling routes. Resorts such as Zermatt, Courchevel, and Innsbruck attract millions of travelers every year.
